Energy-saving and environmentally-benign integrated ammonia production system

In this work, an integrated conversion system of coal to ammonia (NH3) is developed with the objectives total energy efficiency maximization and process simplification. The integrates drying, chemical looping hydrogen production, cryogenic nitrogen separation, NH3 synthesis, power generation. Due integration, exergy destruction from each individual process, as well whole system, can be reduced significantly, leading high efficiency. Several operating parameters, including mass fraction oxygen carrier, reduction temperature, oxidation pressure, per pass during synthesis are evaluated. Low-rank a flowrate 100 t h−1 (moisture content 65.5 wt% wb) used feedstock, while Fe2O3 adopted carrier. From results, shows (NH3 production efficiencies 58% 60%, respectively) significant Higher lowers circulated material in module.
